Engineering
Ausgrid has a diverse team of over 300 Engineers all actively engaged in analysing, planning and designing as well as operating and maintaining Australia’s largest electricity distribution network. We have been a leader in our field powering the east coast for over a century and are now looking for graduates to help continue that legacy.
As a Summer Intern you will have opportunities to learn from world class Engineers who sit on national and international technical panels such as CIGRE and experienced multidisciplinary designers who design and refresh our network of high voltage substations, transmission and distribution systems. Our program will give you first hand experiences, you’ll be exposed to technical and interesting work on real life projects, and you’ll be working within teams of highly skilled professionals, solving problems and delivering outcomes.
What’s involved:
Work under the supervision of an experienced manager
Work on a real project throughout your entire internship
Develop skills to identifying risks, constraints, issues, and dependencies which impact your project.
Receive mentorship and regular performance feedback
On the job technical training
Build additional relevant soft skills through mentorship and training
End of program presentation to showcase your work
Eligibility
To apply for our Summer Intern Program, you are required to be:
In your 3rd year or over of a Bachelor of Engineering degree or double degree
Aligned degrees include Electrical and Mechanical
At time of application candidates must hold Australian or Permanent Residency
Available to work full-time between Dec 2023 to Feb 2024 (some flexibility available)
