Employment Type: 5X Temporary full-time roles up to the end of June 2025 and 2 X Temporary full-time roles up to the end of June 2024. There is a possibility for these roles to extend.

Work Location: Parramatta; flexible working arrangements available

Classification / Grade / Band: Clerk Grade 1/2

Hours Per Week: 35, Flexible working options available

Remuneration: Salary ranges from $70,694 to $76,857 per annum plus Superannuation and Leave Loading

Additional Benefits: Salary Packaging and Fitness Passport available

The Office of Energy and Climate Change is seeking Customer Service Agents to support the delivery of the NSW Government Energy Social Programs.

About the Role

The Customer Service Agent works collaboratively in the Energy Rebates or Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) Assessment team to deliver high-quality customer service and administration. In this role, you will receive and enter customer applications, check customer eligibility against an existing framework, and communicate with customers via phone calls and emails. Agents work collaboratively within a team environment. You will need to be a great communicator able to work with empathy when interacting with customers. You will have excellent attention to detail, work with integrity and a commitment to meeting performance standards.

To be successful in the role, ideally, you will have:
Quality customer service experience, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced call centre environment

Good communication skills, with a pro-active and can-do attitude

About the Energy Social Programs Branch

The Energy Social Programs Branch designs, delivers and reviews the NSW Government’s $330 million Energy Social Programs to over 900,000 NSW households. This includes the delivery of:

six energy rebates and private water rebates to provide ongoing support to customers with paying their utility bills, and

the Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) to provide short-term financial assistance to customers experiencing a crisis or emergency and stay connected to an essential service
