The opportunity:
12 – 18-month contract (with potential to be extended/go perm as we win new work) – Civil Surveillance Officer – significant Road project
Our Melbourne Transport business has a need for an experienced Civil Surveillance Officer to be an integral part of their high-performing and dedicated team. With strong background in civil construction/fit-out of major road projects your role overseeing the site will contribute to the successful project delivery in accordance with client time, quality and scope requirements.
Key focusses of the role will include:
Performing site supervision of work in the tunnels with Back End Works/Civil fit-out. This includes installation of precast concrete, cast insitu concrete, pavements, barriers, road drainage, road decks, smack decks, smoke ducks etc.
Monitoring and reporting on site OHS & Quality standards.
Produce daily reports including progress, quality and safety observations.
Undertake inspection of works and verify compliance with ITPs, specifications, and project requirements.
Collaboration with the project team to ensure achieving best for project outcomes.
About you:
8 – 10 years Civil Surveillance officer or civil contractor/supervisor background on major road projects
Sound technical understanding of site-based requirements.
Excellent eye for detail and providing quality assurance.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach across a broad group of stakeholders including clients and contractors.
Team player who leads from the front.
A full Driving license is required.
