We are hiring a team of Associate level (2-4 years of professional work experience) Technical Consultants in Ontario or Alberta Canada who will be trained to configure and implement our Utilities suite of products. This is a client facing role that requires travel in the future (must be able to travel 50 – 60%) and can be home-based when not on the road.
Our bootcamp will be virtual and starting in January 2023!

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

This is an intermediate consulting position requiring (2-4 years of Professional Experience) operating independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices.
You will perform standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement and configure Oracle Utilities Software products and technology to meet customer specifications.
You will be trained in an intensive bootcamp with peers to become competent in Oracle Utilities Customer Cloud Service (CCS) and Customer to Meter (C2M) product offerings.
Support the development and documentation of requirements definition and/or business process definition
Assist in documentation preparation which can include presentation preparation, requirements specifications
Apply core Utilities business process knowledge to key project tasks
Participate in the development, documentation and execution of test plans, test scripts and supporting users in pilot and UAT phases of the implementation including basic remediation testing
Support defect and issue resolution

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the Utilities Consulting Services organization, you will:

Receive formal and on-the-job training for CCS (Customer Cloud Service) and C2M (Customer to Meter) implementations in SaaS, PaaS, or on-premise environment models

Provide engagement delivery services both as an individual and as a team member.
Be responsible for ensuring that a quality, integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner, within budget, and to our client’s satisfaction.
Work closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure quality delivery.

Technical capability in the areas of SDLC, SQL, Java and experience with Building Custom Solutions using the tool stack is a strong plus.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a minimum of a B.S. or B.A. degree in Management Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or other Technology/Science related degree that required technical acumen.

Minimum of 2-3 years overall experience in a functional or technical analyst role working with internal or external clients.

Some SQL, Java or other OO programming languages
Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients
Ability to travel as needed in the future (50 – 60%) if client requests
Should know basic application architecture for business applications

Good understanding of the Design, Development, Testing and Release phases of the SDLC.
Good understanding of business processes with Business Process Modeling experience being a big plus.
Documentation skills for requirements and designs documentation is a plus
Knowledge in Customer Management and Billing Systems is a plus
Energy industry knowledge, Smart Grid, Smart Meter, Energy Deregulations etc., is a plus

Consulting experience, is a plus
Strong written and spoken English communication skills are required – heavy client facing role

Candidates hired for this opportunity will need to be able to participate in a 6 week boot camp on-line, remote where they will be trained to implement and configure the Oracle Utilities Application Suite of Products.

2-5 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
